Arman Forough, occupational therapist

Hi, I'm Arman Forough.

I'm the occupational therapist behind Harmony. I grew up in Vancouver, Canada, studied kinesiology and rehabilitation there, then moved to Melbourne to complete my Master of Occupational Therapy Practice at Monash University.

Before becoming an OT, I worked as a mental health support worker, which still shapes how I work with people day to day. I've now worked in occupational therapy for four years, across both mental health and physical health. Most of that has been in the community with NDIS participants, and I've also worked in hospital settings. I've supported people living with a range of mental health conditions, as well as people recovering from falls, surgery and hospital stays.

I believe that doing things that matter to you is a big part of feeling well. My work is about helping people re-engage in the activities they value, and setting goals that line up with their interests and the life they want.

Outside of work, I like to stay active and spend time with family, friends and my four cats.
